How working for myself healed my codependency

Starting my own business was a surprising path that transformed me from The Good Girl to the Unapologetic Woman. Now, I want to do the same for you.

Working for myself was what helped accelerate my journey from The Good Girl to The Unapologetic Woman.

Working for myself forced me to reckon with and heal the depths of my people-pleasing because you can’t price your programs or sell your heart’s work, fearful of if people will judge you or approve of it.

Working for myself asked me to believe in myself when nobody else would, because you can sure as hell bet your bottom dollar that when I announced I was becoming a life coach at age 40 to sell, uh, “healing” online, not a lot of people were believing in me.

Working for myself had me reckon with and need to put on display my ambition. I had to sell every day, promote myself, name and claim what I was doing, proudly and with self-belief.

Working for myself helped me heal my visibility wound. I could no longer hide behind other’s ventures or projects, helping out behind the scenes. Shaking, I stepped forward into the spotlight and found that I was able to create safety and joy there for myself.
