Let’s start to dream big.

The 9–5 workplace severely limited my ability to dream.

I thought the most money I’d ever make in my life would be about $120,000 a year (and I ain’t complaining, that was good!).

So when my business made $250,000 in my second year of business (and have made nearly $500,000 to date in under three years) I was like….

Uh. Hmm. What?

I began to realize:

Maybe my ability to dream has been limited.

Maybe my 9–5 has put me in a box.

Maybe the corporate world has sold me an, uh, extremely limited vision.

Not just of money. Money’s not everything. (Though it’s pretty damn awesome to use it to purchase services from people of color; to buy ethically made and locally sourced items; and to donate a crap ton of it, more than I’ve ever donated before.)

But of my whole entire life.

I had been conditioned to believe I lived in a world where I should be grateful for crumbs that the corporate world put some sparkles and icing on and made me believe were a full cake.

Like, I’m writing this to you from my favorite outdoor park in the middle of the day. Earlier today I hosted a somatic trauma…
